The Project
We effectively addressed two key challenges in the project – distilling highly complex technical information to enable participants to provide informed feedback without diluting the meaning; and designing a process that directly informed the project team’s work. The engagement program consisted of two phases designed to deliver qualitative and quantitative data from statistically representative community samples across five local government areas.
The first two live polling sessions were conducted in-person. When the engagement program was disrupted by COVID-19 restrictions, we quickly redesigned the engagement program for online delivery.
The team’s ability to quickly adapt and problem-solve for our client ensured the research and engagement program could still be delivered, overcoming a major engagement challenge and providing a highly effective solution on time and within budget.
The sessions achieved a depth of community input comparable to a face-to-face environment, with participants enthusiastically contributing to debates and voicing their concerns and opinions freely. This was aided by the use of high quality visual aids and presentation materials, prepared by our in-house creative team.
